Absolutely! We have an hourly studio available for rent on an hourly basis (3 hour minimum) at very affordable rates. See the Hourly Studio page for details on what’s in the room.
When you rent a room at The Music Box, you get more than just a room. We offer the best value in town. We have a variety of levels ranging from $250 to $800 per month. Every level includes access to our exclusive pricing for industry-related services for our members as well as other great benefits.
We have five different room sizes and no two rooms are identical. They are sorted into groups by the amount of usable square footage. Those ranges are as follows:
- Individual – 67ft² to 75ft²
- Small – 93ft² to 113ft²
- Medium – 115ft² to 175ft²
- Large – 185ft² to 243ft²
- Jumbo – 280ft² to 402ft²
Well, a 24-hour retail kiosk for starters! If you break a string or stick, we’ve got you covered anytime of day or night. Grab a snack or drink out of our vending machines on-site. We also have free WiFi available for members and their guests on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz spectrums.
You or your band must have one person designated as the responsible party that will complete the membership agreement and pay the monthly dues. You need a valid residential address, phone number and credit card or bank account on file to complete the membership process. Other than that…JAM ON!
Yes, we do offer physical tours of our facility. They must be booked in advance on our site here so that we can accommodate as many requests as possible.
We’ve setup our membership application process to be completed exclusively online and contact-free. We did this so that any potential member can sign up on any day of the week at any time of day. You can become a member and have access to your room within 10 minutes. We’d rather you wait on your band mates and not us.
The only practice limitation at the Music Box is you. Our members have 24/7 access to the building. While there is no limitation on how often you can practice, you are not allowed to take up residence in your room. Besides, we don’t have showers and you won’t get a good night’s sleep due to noisy neighbors.
Membership dues are collected on the first day of every month. There is a 3 day grace period and on the 5th of the month, you will incur a Late Fee and be locked out of your room. You must have a credit card or bank account on file to be considered a member in good standing.

- We accept all major credit cards as well as ACH payments from your bank. We do not accept cash, checks, money orders, or Peer-to-Peer payment apps like Venmo, Cash App, etc. for security purposes. If you’d like to use cash, we recommend visiting almost any major grocery store, gas station or drug store near you to purchase a Visa Gift Card. For general questions regarding Visa gift cards, call (866)511-GIFT.

The short answer is yes. There is a $50 fee no matter the size of room you are in. This fee goes towards member management and security access controls. Both bands are required to complete the membership agreement, however, only one credit card or bank account will be on file. The primary member is also responsible for the security deposit. It is very important that the responsible party know and trust the members of the other band since they will obviously have the same access to your room and anything stored there. Yes. You are responsible for both the space and its contents. We have top-tier security measures in place to help deter any theft and vandalism including security cameras, remote controlled keypad access, on-site staff and other measures we won’t reveal to the world. However, if someone really wants in they will find a way. You are encouraged, though not required, to purchase renter’s insurance. You may already have this through your homeowner’s insurance policy or apartment renter’s insurance policy, but you must consult them for details and eligibility. Third party insurance can be purchased for around $50/month for about $100,000 of coverage.
Unfortunately, no. Only monthly members in good standing have access to discount pricing with our exclusive service partners.
Technically, no. We offer rehearsal rooms at rehearsal rates. While not 100% soundproofed, it is treated to prevent sound transfer from room to room in the walls and above the ceiling. Please don’t confuse The Music Box Rehearsal Rooms with a recording studio. You will hear other musicians to a degree, but it shouldn’t interfere with your practice session.
